Penelope Harmonium

Meet Penelope Harmonium, the revered leader of the Harmonium Clan, a peaceful people who had long avoided the wrath of the tyrant King Harold. Unlike other clans that resisted his rule, the Harmonium Clan willingly joined his empire, posing no threat to his dominance. Harold, in turn, left them unscathed, even enjoying his visits to their lands. Their districts became his personal retreat, where he would indulge himself for days, sometimes even weeks. Yet, despite their reluctant allegiance, the people of the Harmonium Clan despised his presence, for his visits always left their home in disarray.

The clan possessed the ability to manipulate sound frequencies, allowing them to alter what others could hear or even render them deaf. But Penelope, in the wake of a traumatic encounter, discovered an ability far more potent. On the eve of Harold’s war against Atlan’s forces, he and his army camped within Harmonium lands. That night, in a drunken rage, Harold forced himself upon Penelope. Desperate and terrified, she unleashed her power through her voice, commanding him to stop, and never touch her again. The effect was instantaneous. The king collapsed into a deep sleep outside her tent, completely subdued.

Yet, her triumph came at a cost. The moment she tapped into this newfound power, her voice was lost, leaving her mute. But rather than succumb to despair, Penelope sought a way to reclaim control over her abilities. Through rigorous experimentation, she devised a method to channel her energy through a custom flute. By weaving her technique into its melodies, she could now influence minds and issue commands without sacrificing her voice.

Recognizing the immense potential of this technique, Penelope taught it to the rest of her clan. Under her guidance, the Harmonium Clan refined their art, transforming into formidable sound benders. Her mastery over their abilities and her resilience in the face of hardship solidified her place as their leader, the strongest wielder of sound the clan had ever known.
