Axel Frostbane

Meet Axel Frostbane, who is another character in my original series, “Highborne Fates.” As the first official leader of the Frostbane Clan, Axel rose to power in the aftermath of Atlan’s Rebellion against the tyrant King Harold. Though the Frostbane Clan initially stood with King Harold, everything changed once Atlan seized the throne. In a bold move, King Atlan granted the Frostbane Clan immunity and independence, as he sought to be at peace rather than create another conflict, allowing them to establish their own kingdom within both the poles of the world.

Crowned ruler of both the Northern and Southern Frostbane Clans, Axel embraced a life of exploration and discovery. He split his time evenly between the two distant territories, navigating the open seas and mapping the unknown as he travels back and forth from each of his kingdoms. His travel logs were shared with Atlan’s kingdom whenever he would pass by and were important in expanding the world’s understanding of the uncharted lands.

But Axel is far more than an explorer he is a formidable warrior, feared for his ruthless combat instincts and mastery of ice based techniques. His most devastating technique, “Hel Realm,” conjures a 150-meter domain of subzero devastation. Anyone caught within its grasp suffers almost instant frostbite, as if exposed to the harshest polar extremes.

Inside the Hel Realm technique, Axel commands the winds itself, detecting enemies through the slightest shifts in airflow. With precise control, he unleashes a relentless storm of ice attacks, freezing opponents where they stand. Escape is nearly impossible, as the intense cold cripples breathing and movement.

However, even Axel has a weakness. The longer the battle drags on, the more it drains him of his energy. The immense energy required to sustain Hel Realm and launch attacks doubles his energy consumption, pushing his limits faster than in normal combat. Surviving long enough in this technique against him is the only way known to outlast his frozen wrath.
